Our Team
Stephanie Forbes CIC, CPIW, AINS, AFIS
PRESIDENT
Stephanie has been an insurance agent and consultant for over 35 years. She is experienced in both Personal and Commercial insurance lines. She has received multiple industry designations. Stephanie has assisted in developing 13 new independent insurance agencies over her career and contributed to the continuance and growth of several existing agencies. She specializes in clients ranging from large national accounts, municipalities, professional offices and retail operations to the construction and service industries. She is a specialist in captive insurance programs, construction wrap up policies, and bonding. Stephanie has been an active member of the International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP) for over 30 years and has served on and chaired multiple committees on the board including President of the local association. She received the award for Insurance Professional of the Year for the Boise association in 2014, and Insurance Professional of the year for the Northwest Region in 2015.
Stephanie is a native of Idaho and enjoys camping, fishing, swimming, dancing and spending time with her 3 children and 6 grandchildren. She plays bass guitar and sings in a local country rock band, Sweet Briar.
Some of her community involvement has included serving on the Advisory Board for the Meridian Senior Center and as an Art Commissioner for the City of Meridian. She is a 2003-2004 graduate of Leadership Meridian.
Jeremy Barnes
COMMERCIAL RISK ADVISOR
Jeremy Barnes embarked on his journey with InsurEdge Group in February of 2024, recognizing that the opportunity of this career aligns with his dedication to support his family and future goals in life. Born and raised on his family's ranch in Emmett, ID, where they raised cattle, swine, and crops, Jeremy was instilled with a strong work ethic. His experience spans over a decade in the construction field. He contributed his skills to both private contractors as well as public municipalities. His focus encompassed a variety of pipeline infrastructure maintenance, rehabilitation, and management.
As a native Idahoan and being a part of a family with deep roots in the state, his appreciation for the community inspires his pursuit of assisting local companies. A pivotal bridge was forged, seamlessly connecting his background to the realm of property and casualty insurance. Realizing the potential to leverage his knowledge in safety practices acquired from the construction and agricultural industries, Jeremy discovered a profound synergy in aiding companies to proactively mitigate losses and effectively manage claims. He specializes in advising on a wide scale of industries, with a focus on construction and manufacturing. His unique perspective and diverse skills set position him as an asset to navigate the complexities of the insurance landscape.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Jeremy is an avid outdoorsman, as you can find him hunting, fishing, hiking, and exploring the amazing backcountry that Idaho has to offer. Joined by his girlfriend Brittany and loyal chocolate lab, Tucker, they enjoy adventurous journeys, new culinary experiences, and building new memories. Their shared dream is to build on the family's ranch and get back to the quiet country way of life that holds a special place in their hearts.
Dawn Thorp
PERSONAL LINES + SMALL COMMERCIAL PRODUCER
Dawn Thorp brings nearly three decades of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in personal lines. Her journey began 29 years ago, and her commitment to serving clients with dedication and expertise has remained steadfast throughout her career. Originally from Alaska, Dawn moved to Idaho for work and has proudly called it home for the past 31 years.
As a trusted advisor in personal lines, Dawn’s focus is on helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of insurance with confidence and peace of mind. Her deep understanding of the unique needs of Idahoans, coupled with her unwavering dedication to service, makes her a valuable asset to the InsurEdge Group team.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dawn’s life is centered around her four children and four grandchildren, who are her greatest joys. She finds fulfillment in her faith through Christian singles groups and gives back through her involvement with Zoe International, where she serves on the planning committee for events. Zoe is an organization dedicated to ending child trafficking through prevention, rescue, and restoration efforts. Though still relatively new to the valley, it’s a cause Dawn is passionate about supporting.
Dawn also enjoys singing karaoke and paddle boarding. Her love of the water and the outdoors—especially camping—reflects her appreciation for Idaho’s natural beauty and vibrant community.
Norma Muñoz
COMMERCIAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT
Norma Muñoz is a dedicated Commercial Customer Service Agent at InsurEdge Group, bringing years of hands-on industry experience and a reputation for being helpful, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented. Norma began her insurance career as a policy typist and grew into her current role through persistence, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting clients.
Known for her calm and dependable nature, Norma specializes in assisting commercial clients with policy questions, problem resolution, and day-to-day service needs. She is a go-to resource for both colleagues and customers alike, always ready to find the answers that bring peace of mind.
Norma was born and raised in Caldwell, Idaho, and is proud to be deeply rooted in her community. She and her husband recently celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary. They have two children and one granddaughter who bring great joy to her life.
When she’s not serving clients, Norma enjoys relaxing at home and unwinding with her favorite TV shows. Her balance of professionalism and personable charm makes her an invaluable part of the InsurEdge team.
Korey Schwerd
OFFICE MANAGER
Korey is the Office Manager at InsurEdge Group, bringing a unique blend of organization, experience, and team spirit to the heart of the operation. Though she’s new to IEG, Korey’s impact is already felt company-wide, especially during busy seasons. She supports the team by identifying stress points, stepping in where needed, and offering steady encouragement and practical help to keep things running smoothly.
With more than 25 years of experience in both the business and medical fields, Korey is a natural planner and organizer. From accounting systems to templates and to-do lists, she thrives on creating structure and clarity in fast-paced environments. Her attention to detail and proactive mindset make her an invaluable resource for the entire team.
A lifelong Idahoan with brief periods spent in Wyoming and California, Korey is deeply rooted in the local community and proudly supports her husband’s business in Meridian. Outside of work, she stays busy with a variety of hobbies including scrapbooking, mountain getaways, thrifting, romance books and movies, water sports, and cheering at sporting events. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two adult daughters.
Korey loves to travel, but her favorite thing is simply being home. Especially on a rainy day, nothing beats relaxing in her own space.
Her balance of professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for others makes her an essential part of the InsurEdge Group team.
